Tenute di Badia was once the ancient and religious site belonging to the monks of St.Peter in Pozzeveri Abbey.
Today it wants to be the place where you can discover the still alive usage and custom of the Lucchese tradition.

The ancient Badia's Guelph Tower dominates the Land.
Inside the Castle you can breath the atmosphere of the old times: the herring-bone terracotta paving, the fireplaces, the wooden beams of the ceilings and the rural furniture have been jealously preserved and restored.

The traditional aspects of the rural architecture of the area have been carefully preserved thanks to a long and precise restoration.
Not only the pavements and the wooden ceilings but also the windows and the stone stairs have been repaired.
The fireplaces, very important everyday meeting-place for the family, have been restored as well.
