Where are We

Tenute di Badia is located in the countryside of the Plain of Lucca, in Northern Tuscany, Italy. The ”City of the Walls”, Lucca, is fifteen minutes by car from the Farm, or one hour on bike, crossing the ancient “via Francigena” Pilgrim Route.


Montecarlo, a majestic small medieval town on the top of the omonymous hill, surrounded by vineyards and Olive groves, is tern minutes aways by car. Also Altopascio, the ”Town of Tuscan Bread” and the oldest Hospital on the via Francigena is just ten minutes away. Both destinations can be reached by bike, if you don’t mind a little uphill and downhill.


Collodi is just fifteen minutes away from us. Despite being really small, The Hometown of Pinocchio has a small memorial and monumental park, and a beautiful Villa with garden and butterly house. Worth a whole day-long visit.

The Coast of Versilia, centeredin the Carnival Town of Viareggio, is twenty minutes away from Tenute di Badia. With twenty-four kilometers of perfectly equipped bathing estabilishments, a few free beaches, fish Restaurants and trendy clubs, Versilia is certainly worth a visit during a stay in the Province of Lucca.


The Thermal Town of Montecatini, with its seven different bathing & spa Establishments from the beginning of the XX Century, is 15 minutes away from the Farm. Pistoia, Capital City of Italian Culture in 2017, is thirty minutes away.
